100 years of History

For National Heritage Week we are celebrating the centenary of the Viking Ship! This wooden vessel is a recognised Heritage Boat and was first named ‘MV Britannia’ in 1923. She was built by Harward and Croxan in Southend-on-Sea, England. On the 23rd of March 1923 Britannia arrived in Bridlington to operate as an ‘open deck’ pleasure cruiser. She now sails daily from Athlone Castle.

Join us for live entertainment as we travel upstream on Ireland’s longest river to the lake of Lough Ree “Where the Three Counties Meet”. This is a boat trip that can be enjoyed by all ages.
